Your opinion needed!!!

First of all SaskGridiron.com would like to congratulate the Lumsden Devils on capturing the 2009 Provincial Championship. We would also like to congratulate the Swan Valley Tigers for a great season.

As we enter the off-season and prepare for another year we want to know what YOU would like to see on SaskGridiron.com. Let us know what you would like to see more of on the site and we will do our best to make it happen. Fire your suggestions here on the forum and we will announce some of the changes we will be making going forward.

it would be nice to see the kids get recognition by giving the the team and league awards listed online. currently the northwest does not do league awards but maybe gridiron could set up a standard that all of us would follow. just an idea, thanks again.

This has been a fun site to peruse. Saskota is hosted in Lumsden Canada. This being the home of 9-man football, there could be a lot of use with tryout invitations, information etc. Luke and crew congratulations and we need Sask. to win another Bowl and bring the trophy back to the true north strong and free. Let's hope all leagues promote this game and send players to the tryouts. This is what it's all about, when the fierest rivals play for one common goal, for their province and their country. Let's put the best team we can on the field and give Davey Zinke and the North Dakota crew some real rural Sask. hard-nose pigskin.

I agree with Garth. I think, in the past, our best nine man players haven't attended the Saskota try-outs because it isn't promoted by all the 9 man coaches in Saskatchewan. Coaches it extremely important to let your player know about these try-outs. We should have at least 100 grade 12 players trying out for Saskota not the 50 or 60 that we have seen in the past. Let's show-case our talent and send the Americans back this summer with a second loss.

With ID camps ect coming up, any early guesses at who are going to be the powerful teams in the upcoming season?

I had the chance to attend different match ups in Melfort, Foam Lake, Humboldt, and Tisdale. Foam Lake will always be above average as they have been for the past 5 or 6 six years. Melfort looks like they could be strong as does Nipawin with their very talented QB going into his gr 11 year. I watched the blow out exhibition game in Humboldt, Lumsden will definately have a shot to defend their title with an almost unstoppable 3 back offense and strong outside linebackers. If the program was correct Humboldt will have a very experienced and very strong defense for the upcoming season backed by their middle lineback. I think we will see the Champs of 08 against the champs of 09 playing for the 2010 championship.
