Who will make up team Saskatchewan?

Who do you think should be on Team Saskatchewan for the 2010 Saskota Bowl? I guess for most people one question would be who is eligible from each team? Everyone has a good idea who is a grade 12 player on their team but probably not on most teams in the province. So with that in mind who would you like to see on the team?

The running back position will be interesting. How old are the running backs in Lumsden? They were pretty impressive in there provincial final. Are they that good or just part of a really good system? I think they're good. Then there is Josh Hart from Swan Valley. It will be very interesting. The only thing is... who will actually try out? SaskGridiron is trying to up the exposure and get people excited for this type of stuff but when you barely get enough guys trying out to get a roster together there isn't much selection going on. I hope it's good this year though.

what do we have for grade 12 qbs, has anyone heard anything about grade 12s from foamlake other than the running backs? and what about Foamlakes rival Humboldt any good ones from there?

Yes, no doubt it will be up to us as coaches to get as many of our graduating players as possible to try out for the Saskota team.If this happend this could be a team that is as strong as any that has and will represent Saskatchewan.The guys also have to be aware that the exposure they will get may set the table for some post high school ball.

I think the exposure will be huge for players looking to continue playing football. That is what this website is all about. The game will likely be broadcasted which will do even more for exposure. Post secondary coaches may or may not be at the game but there is a good chance in some way or another they will see it. I agree that this team could be very good if all attend try-outs.

That is a very good point about the post-secondary coaches getting a look at explusivly nine man players. With Spring Camps for Rams Huskies Hiltops in two weeks and Thunder shortly after. Are there any nine man players that are prospects for these clubs?

I think that the northwest will provide some very good talent.... Especially from rosetown. Some very good defensive players graduating this year.. Also Meadow Lake has some very talented players, have a good QB who is a threat with his arm and his feet. dont know if the RB's from Meadow Lake are graduating but they are talented as well? QB from meadow lake was a huge defensive presence against us and was in on at 80% of the tackles. You cannot forget any of the northwest Unity should have some talent as well... Should be interesting to see who actually goes and suits up!

The top four teams in the province were from 2 conferences. The North East league has been very strong in recent years as has the South Central. I would look for the team to be carried by players from Lumsden, Foam Lake, and Humboldt.

Whoever is in chage of coaching this year. Can you please post the roster for this years team as soon as it is picked? Thank you very much.
