top ten

New Weekly Top 10???

The new top 10 will be out tomorrow after the final game in week 1 is played today in Esterhazy. Who is your top 10?

Of course as you know Darren it is Hard to pick a top ten when everyone hasn't played yet but here is my best shot:

3) Humboldt
4)Delisle
5)Meadow Lake
6) Yorkton
7) Assiniboia
Swan Valley
9) Warmen
10) Melfort

2 and 3 could be switched not sure neither have played. Delisle is always strong and Meadow lake is on the rise this year. Yorkton and Assinboia had big wins this week. Swan Valley beat kamsack back in the league again and Warmen was the only other team with a win. Melfort was a third team from that conference!

still no top ten? you said it would be out on the 8th darren. Love the x's and o's but we are coming up on week 3 with no top ten.

Don't give Darren such a hard time. He's a busy guy. He'll have the top ten and the endzone as quick as he can. Keep up the great work Darren!!

Can't believe that you have Martensville and Meadow Lake ahead of Assinbioa. The Rocket are 2 and 0 and undeafeated. I think the North West is the most over rated conference in the Province and the South West should get some respect.

Where would you have Assiniboia ranked? This isn't a standings rankings. This is a power rankings. It's very tough for the SWAC to garner respect when they only have 3 teams in the conference. Last year Shaunavon had a great season but lost 27-5 i believe in their first game of provincials. They were one of a couple undefeated teams but they obviously weren't in the top 2 or 3 in the province.

Word is that some of the teams in the SWAC might play an exhibition game or two during the year. That may help their ranking but the SWAC will need a good showing in provincials to really garner the respect some feel they deserve.

I for one would like to seem them do well in provincials and I'd like to see them play someone outside their conference. This is one reason why I favour one non-conference game each season.
