Since I have been unsuccessful with being able to get the stats to Darren for the website, I would like to recognize some players from the Saints who had a terrific year. The stats are for the regular season only. Dakota German, defensive MLB had 41 initial tackles and 14 assists. He also had 5 pressures, 6 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 interception.
Nathan Ortinsky defensive lineman had 34 initial tackles and 23 assists. He also had 8 pressures, and 2 sacks.
Travis Inglis defensive back had 44 initial tackles and 12 assists. He also had 2 pressures, 2 fumble recoveries, and 6 interceptions.
Martin Pearson MLB had 31 initial tackles and 14 assists. He also had 3 fumble recoveries. Logan Madson MLB had 30 initial tackles and 33 assists along with 1 sack, and 1 fumble recovery.
Robert Okeny, kicker DB/safety had 31 initial tackles and 9 assists. He also kicked 19 extra points and made 3 field goals for a total of 28 points.
On offense, Jon Bell Qb was 20-42-356 yards; Logan Coutts Rec had 12 catches for 262 yards, 21 yd average; Morgan Giroux FB opened up numerous holes for Liebrecht and had 40 carries for 321 yds, 8 yard average; Colten Kitzan RB 27- 226, 8.3 yard average; Brian Lubiniecki RB 32-215, 6.7 yard average; and Preston Liebrecht who played 4 regular season games rushed for 546 yards on 29 carries, 18.8 yard average. He has another year and we're looking forward to seeing how he progresses.
Regarding points scored our leaders were Liebrecht with 48, Okeny with 47, Giroux, Bell and Coutts with 18 each.
