Semi final game reports

Anybody have any game reports from either semi-final?

Awesome game, Swan valley scored on thier opening drive, Humboldt answered right back on theirs. Both defences played great. Humboldt's star running back fumbled the ball twice in the first half. Humboldt as a team turned the ball over 4 times in the first half. The tigers scored a touchdown with 17 seconds left in the second quarter on a 80 yard run by their star running back to take a 14-7 lead into halftime. In the second have tigers scored after a Humboldt fumble early in the 3rd quarter to take a 21-7 lead. Early in the 4th Quarter Humboldt scored on a long drive capped of by a long td pass. Mid way throught the 4th Quarter Humboldt had a chance to tie it but were denied on a third and goal from the 8 yard line. Humboldt had the ball around mid field with around a minute left but turned the ball over on downs. Final score was 21-14 Swan Valley Tigers. Great game by both teams but in the end, like in most playoff games turn-overs were the deciding factor.

Great day for football. Lumsden was in control for most of the game. Their effective running game wore down the Panther defense. The Lumsden defense did a good job of bending and not breaking on a number of occasions, stuffing the Panther run game inside the 10. Lumsden had a great game all around. Good luck to both teams next week.

congratulations! to swan on a hard fought game vs humboldt. kudos to your efforts, sportsmanship and execution. no question your abililty to control the clock and keep your drives alive by not fumbling helped your team to victory. josh hart played well and should be commended,(3 tds) but our guys were impressed with the tough running of your fullback. time and time again when swan needed yards they were able to sustain drives to kill the clock in the fourth quarter with hard fought inside running.

good to see such a good guy like rick wowchuk and his program succeed. seems like a real supporter of our nine man game!

lastly, thanks again darren for the great work in promoting nine man football all season,(grid iron.com) we really need a voice in the province for our game and please keep up the good work.
