Foam Lake's dominant ground attack was on display all afternoon as the Redmen were unable to contain Foam Lake's #22. This kid literally tore up the Redmen defense with probably 300 yards rushing today, as he repeatedly juked his way around defenders and then showed off his great speed an acceleration. The first half was actually fairly evenly contested between the two teams. 13-6 first quarter, 30-15 halftime. Unfortunately the wind played a huge factor in the game as gusts as strong as 60 km/h raged on throughout the game. Punting into the wind proved to be futile for both teams as the ball travelled back to the original line of scrimmage before being blown dead. The biggest difference in this game proved to be Foam Lake's ability to run the ball into the wind as Maple Creek was unable to do this consistently. As a result, third down gambles into the wind left Foam Lake playing on a short field for much of the game. Congratulations to the Foam Lake Panthers on a well played game. Good luck next week. Congratulations to the Redmen on great season.
