Wynyard at Foam Lake

Wynyard travelled to Foam Lake for rematch of game 1 which had Foam Lake stripped of their first win after a player was declared ineligible. Wynyard D played well early as Foam Lake started game flatter than flat. Wynyard threaten to open scoring but a fumble inside 10 ended the threat. Wynyard Punter kicks 30 plus single to open scoring 1-0. Foam Lake move ball on two successive drives but Wynyard D hold both times keeping the Panthers off the board with two third down turnovers. The 1-0 score held at halftime.

Wynyard begin to move ball in third only to shoot themselves in foot with penalty after penalty. Key injury to O. guard and running back dampen their ability to move ball consistently. Foam Lake finally awaken and score after nice play action pass and run to take 7-1 lead with 5 minutes to play in 3rd. Following kiick off goes through endzone for single. Wind a considerable factor in the game. Foam Lake continue to gain momentum and a close game after 3 soon became a blowout. Final 36- 1 ??? May have been 42-1 got kind of dark by time game end. Foam Lake will now host Melfort while Wynyard will try to regroup and deal with Humboldt who shellacked them 50-0 last week. Good luck to all teams in playoffs.
