Humboldt vs Lumsden final

Officially - - Humboldt has beaten Lumsden 20-11

An absolutely fantastic game from both teams. Lumsden had the ball first and put together a good drive but stalled on the 2 yd line leaving the Devils empty handed. For the rest of the quarter it was back and fourth until Humbolt put togethter a good drive resulting in a FG. 3-0 Hum. The second was much the same story with Humboldt inching ahead of Lumsden. A punt through the endzone got Lumsden on the board. 3-1. In the second quarter we finally saw the games first TD from Hum QB on a pressure play. 10-1 at half. The second half saw Humboldts opening drive earn them a second FG. Stale mate for the west of the quarter. 13-1 Humboldt after 3. Lumsdens only life came in the fourth when Lumsdens DE picked off a Hum pass and took it in for a TD. 13-8 Humboldt. Lumsden felt some momentum, but a 4:30 minute drive from Humboldt ate up almost all the clock and resulted in one more TD. 20-8 Humboldt Final.

All players were absolutely a class act. Lots of congratulations and extended hands for help up was observed from every player of both teams.

Congrats to Humboldt as they played excellent. I guess the one guy who said the visitor always wins was right again! Lol.

This was a well-played game. Both teams and coaching staffs were very sportsmanlike. While I do not believe that there was a lack of respect from Lumsden, I hope this result resonates with those who posted that Humboldt would be crushed on Saturday.
