Delisle vs. Sacred Heart Semi-final

It was a beautiful day for football in the city of Yorkton. Delisle scored their first touchdown on their first series. The Saints had trouble moving the ball in the first half and ended up giving up 2 safeties. Delisle's defense played very well and shut down our sweep. The score at the half was 11-2 for Delisle. The Saints began to move the ball however were not able to score a touchdown in the second half. Midway through the third Delisle scored another major and made the score 18-2. This was the game changing touchdown as the Saints had done an excellent job holding Delisle's offense in check. Delisle came out strong the next time they were on offense and were able to punch in another major score. Delisle scored again making the final 36-2 for Delisle. Both teams showed excellent sportsmanship during and at the end of the game. I would like to thank all the fans who came out to watch an excellent semi-final game and would like to thank all our supporters throughout the season. The coaching staff is very proud of what our football team accomplished this year. We finished off our football season at 8-2 including preseason. This is an awesome accomplishment. I would like to wish all our graduating players the best. Congratulations to Humboldt and Delisle. This will make for an awesome 9 man Provincial Final. Coach Dwayne Todas
